Search Engine Optimization Initiatives - Some Questions That You Need Not Ask

A lot of people, beginners and advanced users of the web, seem to keep asking questions each time they think about SEO or search engine optimization. Half of these people do know the answers but only forget them while the other half is generally clueless.

Question #1: What is the minimum number of links needed to be on the first page of Google?

Answer: It all boils down to the quality of your link or the keyword competition. It could be a hundred links or it could only be a few that you can count with your fingers.

In other words, if your site is a credible source of information or your keywords totally match the terms being searched, then chances are you will end up on the first page. But it lies on several various factors since there are a lot more considerations needed in order for a link to have real value.

Question #2: How hard can it be to create links for my homepage?

Answer: Since it's all about the quality of links, it takes a lot of work to have powerful links. An extra mile or so may be needed if you aim for your homepage to go a long way.

Link building belongs to a bigger part of a marketing campaign simply because it's not a temporary cheap fix. It will be hard to promote something that contains little or no value at all.

Because it's not just page ranks that matter all the time. If you truly want to up that page ranking for your homepage, it is absolutely essential to build good quality links.

Question #3: Does link building ever end?

Answer: No. It is actually a long-term process. Although it is okay to minimize your link building efforts when you feel like your site has gained credibility and popularity that everyone is now viewing you as an authority and making references to your site without even asking them to.

But it's not that easy to get to that level because it takes a lot of hard work, creation, branding, and promotion for your website.

It takes a long time to do just that and you should take note that if you go to the top too fast, there will be nowhere else to go but down. Nobody wants that but that's the way it works.
